In celebrating Black British composer Samuel Coleridge-Taylor’s 150th birthday, I collaborated with violinist John Littlejohn and Blueridge Chamber Music Festival by playing the Canadian premiere of the composer’s Sonata for Violin and Piano in D Minor.

Games in Music: Halo, WoW, LOTR

In collaboration with Lucas Waldin (conductor), the UBC Symphony Orchestra, and UBC A Capella, I played piano, celeste, and synthesizer for a full programme of music from video games. I was also featured as keyboard soloist in Canadian composer Maxime Goulet’s concerto for keyboard and strings called “Level Up!” This piece features a keyboard that is connected to a computer with a live technician who changes the sounds of the keyboard throughout the piece to sound like different 8-bit sounds.

Eckhardt-Grammaté Canadian Music Competition Finalist

I was honoured to be selected as a finalist for E-Gré in 2022 and privileged to play a fun programme of works that highlighted Canadian composers, women composers, and composers from the BIPOC communities. I also performed the Canadian premiere of Emily Doolittle’s piece for vocalizing pianist and animation (by Ben Willis) called “Tony Beaver and the Big Music.”
